Linda Yarrow

Dr. Linda K. Yarrow is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Kansas State University and an inaugural Presidential Engagement Fellow. Her work exemplifies K-State’s commitment to community engagement through innovative teaching, public health outreach, and experiential learning. Dr. Yarrow is the Founder and Co-Director of the Guatemala Service-Learning Program, which provides students with immersive international experiences focused on health, wellness, education, and social impact within indigenous Maya communities. She has also delivered community-focused diabetes and nutrition education programs across Kansas and internationally, while fostering strong partnerships between the university and healthcare, nonprofit, and community organizations. Through award-winning teaching, global engagement initiatives, and applied learning opportunities, Dr. Yarrow brings university expertise directly into communities to improve health outcomes, student learning, and intercultural understanding.
