TEACHING
Dr. Xi (Cece) Leung is committed to delivering student-centered, industry-relevant education that bridges theory and practice in hospitality and tourism. Her teaching integrates real-world applications, emerging technologies, and experiential learning to prepare students for the evolving experience economy. Drawing on her interdisciplinary research and industry background, she emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making in the classroom.
She has developed and taught a broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism, Hospitality Marketing and Sales, Hospitality Technology and Information Systems, Hospitality and Tourism Data Analytics, Smart Destination, and Hotel Operations. Across both in-person and online formats, her courses incorporate hands-on projects, industry collaboration, and applied research opportunities, enabling students to engage directly with real-world business challenges.
