Prasad Parchuri

Dr. Prasad Parchuri is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University, where he leads the Plant Lipid Synthetic Biology Lab. His research focuses on plant lipid metabolism and synthetic biology, aiming to engineer oilseed crops for improved oil yield and production of valuable fatty acids of nutritional and industrial importance. He integrates molecular biology, biochemistry, and metabolic engineering to understand and redesign lipid biosynthesis pathways. Dr. Parchuri completed his Ph.D. from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, India and postdoctoral training at Washington State University, US and is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship.
