My teaching program focuses on delivering both foundational and applied concepts in animal and ruminant nutrition across undergraduate and graduate curricula. I teach ASI 302 (Advanced Animal Nutrition) each semester in both online and in-person formats, emphasizing nutrient metabolism, intake regulation, and practical applications in livestock systems. I also teach ASI 680 (Ruminant Nutrition), offered online in the fall and in person in the spring, where I focus on digestive physiology, digestion, and metabolism concepts specific to ruminants. In addition, I teach ASI 683 (Grazing Livestock Nutrition) in the fall, which emphasizes forage-based systems and nutritional management of grazing animals. Beyond formal coursework, I contribute to student development through teaching ASI 560 (Undergraduate Research), where I guide students in developing research skills and critical thinking. I actively mentor undergraduate students in animal science and advise graduate students, supporting their academic, research, and professional development. My teaching approach emphasizes clear connections between physiological mechanisms and applied nutrition, preparing students for careers in animal agriculture and related fields.
