ABOUt

I am an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at Kansas State University with a 60% teaching and 40% research appointment in ruminant nutrition. I earned my M.S. from the University of Kentucky and my Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University, where my training focused on ruminant nutritional physiology. My research centers on feed intake regulation and feed efficiency, with an emphasis on identifying the molecular mechanisms that drive nutrient utilization in beef cattle. My program aims to improve production efficiency through a better understanding of biological processes underlying intake and growth. In addition to my research, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in animal and ruminant nutrition, with a focus on developing students' understanding of applied and mechanistic concepts in the field.
