FUNDING
His geologic interests are broad, but primarily lie in the fields of igneous petrology, mineral resources, and tectonics. These interests are focused on understanding: [1] relationships between volcanism and tectonism; [2] relationships between magmatism and societally important critical minerals and precious metal mineralization; [3] how magmas form and are modified; [4] physical volcanology of silicic magmatic products and their eruptive systems; [5] volcanic stratigraphy, including tephrostratigraphy.
