Kimberly Williams

The central focus of Williams' 40% research appointment in controlled environment horticulture over her career has been water and nutrient management in greenhouse cropping systems. Some of her current active research areas include plastics uptake by hydroponic crops, using wastewater streams for hydroponic crop production, and impacts of microbial activity on nutrient availability in soilless substrate and organic hydroponic systems. She also works with physiological disorders of greenhouse crops, including intumescence and foliar bleaching.
