TEACHING

My teaching focuses on environmental engineering, with an emphasis on the biological and chemical processes that govern environmental systems. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental engineering fundamentals, environmental microbiology, environmental chemistry, climate change, contaminant fate and transport, and water and wastewater treatment. My teaching integrates fundamental principles with current environmental challenges and research, helping students connect engineering concepts to problems involving water quality, environmental contaminants, greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainable resource management.

I also mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers in environmental biotechnology, providing hands-on training in experimental design, environmental microbiology, biogeochemistry, molecular methods, and scientific communication.
