TEACHING

I am committed to creating engaging, inclusive, and inquiry-driven learning environments that help students connect biological concepts to the world around them. My teaching philosophy emphasizes active learning, scientific curiosity, and the development of critical thinking skills through hands-on experiences in the classroom, laboratory, and field. Drawing on my background in ecology and conservation biology, I strive to make complex scientific concepts accessible and relevant to students from diverse academic backgrounds. Whether teaching introductory biology, organismal biology, ecology, or ornithology, my goal is to help students develop both a deeper understanding of biological systems and the confidence to think and act as scientists.
