ABOUt

My primary focus in my current role is research development for the College of Agriculture. I work with faculty in the College of Agriculture and across the university to identify new and interesting funding opportunities, connect interdisciplinary teams, and achieve successful research proposals. This includes a focus in international research and capacity building opportunities. I also coordinate the new faculty program for the College of Ag and teach GENAG/LEAD 425: Global Food Systems Leadership in Action.

I come to this role with more than 15 years of experience in international agricultural research and development, having worked in non-profit, university and federal government roles. This included assignments in Afghanistan and Nigeria, and as the assistant director of the Feed the Future Post-Harvest Loss Innovation Lab.

I am a doctoral candidate in Security Studies, looking at the relationship between agricultural economies and Islamist insurgency in northeast Nigeria. My master's work was in agricultural and resource economics and international agricultural development from the University of California, Davis.
