ABOUt

Dr. Yingying Wu's interdisciplinary research, creative scholarship, and teaching sit at the intersection of data-driven, human-centered apparel design, functional wearable product innovation, and consumer behavior. Dr. Wu focus on sizing and fit systems, functional apparel performance, and consumer responses to wearable products, with particular attention to mobility, thermal comfort, safety, and visual attention. Her research examines body variability, including body shape, asymmetry, and movement, using 3D body scanning, 3D visualization and evaluation, eye-tracking, anthropometric analytics, machine learning, and digital-to-physical workflows, including 3D modeling, virtual prototyping, and fabrication. This work supports inclusive, better-fitting, and performance-responsive design solutions and contributes to interdisciplinary scholarship in design, consumer behavior, and advanced prototyping. Dr. Wu's teaching draws on studio pedagogy, design thinking, and technology-enabled product development to connect creative practice with user-centered innovation.
