ABOUt
Sherry Haar is a distinguished graduate faculty professor in Fashion Studies at Kansas State University. She is a natural dye scholar and fiber artist. Her scientific work focuses on methods to enhance the quality of plant-dyed fiber and effluents. This work influences her creative, natural-dye, and sustainable design practice, creating fiber and wearable art to raise awareness of the green burial movement. Sherry received her PhD from Virginia Tech and her MS and BS from the University of Nebraska. Her work has been published, patented, and exhibited in six countries. Dr. Haar's teaching and research have been recognized with awards for teaching, student development, and research.
