Shane Lyon

Dr. Lyon's scholarly interests span two intersecting domains: veterinary clinical education and small animal internal medicine. Within education, his work examines feedback dynamics between students and clinical instructors, student motivation and career decision-making, competency-based assessment, and post-graduate training selection processes. His clinical research has centered on nephrology and urology, coagulation, and diagnostic method validation, with peer-reviewed contributions to journals including Frontiers in Education, the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education, the American Journal of Veterinary Research, and the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
