ABOUt
Ryan Howell is an instructor in the Department of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems at Kansas State University Salina, where he teaches courses in UAS operations, safety, remote sensing, mission planning, LiDAR, thermography, and geospatial data processing. His teaching emphasizes applied technical skills and the integration of emerging technologies into real-world problem solving, preparing students to work across aviation, geospatial, and data-driven industries. In addition to undergraduate instruction, he contributes to professional outreach through specialized workforce training in drone operations and data analytics, including programs developed for emergency response and public safety professionals.
