Patricia Calvo

My research interests center on precision polymer synthesis and the development of functional macromolecules with tunable architectures. Areas of focus include controlled radical polymerization (e.g., RAFT), hyperbranched polymers, thermoresponsive systems, and metal-chelating polymers. These materials are applied to problems in targeted drug delivery, internal radiation therapy, antimicrobial materials, and environmental remediation. A central theme of my work is establishing structure-property relationships that enable predictive design of polymer-based systems.
