TEACHING
Misti has an extensive teaching record within the Early Childhood Education. Her teaching focuses on undergraduate coursework and reflects broad expertise in early childhood development, inclusive practices, and pre-professional preparation. She regularly teaches foundational courses addressing early childhood topics, child development, interaction techniques with young children, exceptional development, and the creation of effective learning environments, with an emphasis on theory‑to‑practice connections and developmentally appropriate practice.
In addition to content‑focused coursework, Misti plays a significant role in applied and experiential learning. She teaches courses centered on applied learning experiences, pre‑professional fieldwork, and home visiting practice, and has supervised student teachers in early childhood unified settings. Through these roles, she supports students in developing professional skills, reflective practice, and confidence in working with children and families across diverse early childhood contexts.
Across all instructional settings, Misti's teaching demonstrates a strong commitment to hands‑on learning, inclusive and family‑centered practice, and the preparation of highly qualified professionals to serve young children and their families.
