ABOUt
Dr. Michael Oetken is an assistant professor at Kansas State University and director of the K-AIRES Lab on the K-State Salina campus. He teaches courses in immersive systems design, cyber-human systems, UX design, design thinking, and 3D animation. His areas of research expertise include strategic media design, extended reality application design, and applied human factors. Prior to teaching in higher education, Dr. Oetken held positions in industry, including creative director, art director, and director of web services.
