ABOUt
Dr. Matthew T. Basel is an Associate Professor of Physiology in the Department of Anatomy & Physiology at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. His work integrates veterinary physiology education, curriculum innovation, and translational biomedical research focused on nanomedicine and targeted cancer therapeutics. Dr. Basel teaches and coordinates multiple courses across the DVM, graduate, and resident curricula and has led the development of numerous new courses and major curricular initiatives, including the integrated first-year veterinary systems curriculum. His research spans nanoparticle drug delivery, hyperthermia-based cancer therapies, and improved preclinical models for cancer treatment.
