SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT
I have started and coorganized two conference series: The Prairie Analysis Seminar, jointly with K-State and KU colleagues, which was passed on after about 20 years, and Central States Undergraduate Mathematics Research, initially shared with Truman State, later with UNL. This series was not restarted after COVID. I have held the SUMaR Math REU @ KSU NSF grant as PI and organized the math REU at K-State from 2010 until 2022. It has been passed on now.
I enjoy program development and innovation. In this direction I hold the only NSF-EGFP grant in mathematics as PI, for almost 1.5 million dollars. I am PI and team lead of the Statistical and Mathematics Intelligence and Learning project, which developed specific classes, microcredentials, certificates, and a professional MS in this field. Some of them will be available in Fall 2026. We are hoping to see the MS approved by KBOR in June 2026 to make it avaliable i Spring 2027.
