Lori Levin

Dr. Levin's teaching focuses on bridging the gap between academic theory and high-stakes clinical practice. As the BSO Program Coordinator, she mentors preservice teachers through a rigorous curriculum grounded in the Science of Reading and evidence-based pedagogy. Key Course Instruction EDCI 200 (Teaching as a Career): Introducing foundational professional dispositions and the KSU Conceptual Framework to aspiring educators, including the EDCI 230 Early Field Experience course. EDCI 400 (New Literacies): Exploring the evolution of literacy in a digital age, including critical consumption of AI media and multimodality. EDEL 410, 411, & 466: Focusing on Literacy & Practicum and Supporting Elementary Learners in Reading and Math, where students apply structured literacy and data-driven interventions. EDEL 585: Leading Student Teaching, Seminar, and Internships to ensure candidates successfully transition into professional practice.
