Logan Britton

Dr. Logan L. Britton is an associate professor of agricultural economics at Kansas State University whose work focuses on food and agricultural markets, particularly consumer behavior and agribusiness supply chains. His research examines how consumers respond to new food technologies, product attributes, and food safety risks, and how those responses affect producers, processors, and agribusiness firms. He has published work on topics such as consumer demand for meat products, livestock disease management and market impacts, and emerging technologies in food production and labeling. His research appears in journals including Agribusiness, Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Food Quality and Preference, and the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review. At K-State, Britton teaches courses in decision tools, agricultural finance, agribusiness logistics, and contemporary issues in global food and agricultural systems. His classes focus on helping students learn how to analyze real decisions faced by farms and agribusiness firms, whether that involves evaluating an investment, managing a supply chain, or understanding broader economic issues affecting agriculture. In addition to teaching and research, he mentors undergraduate and graduate students and remains engaged with the agricultural economics profession and industry groups connected to food and agriculture.
