Dr. Hiller's research and teaching focus on sustainability in the apparel and textiles industry, including consumer behavior around eco-conscious and secondhand clothing, circular economy practices, and sustainability education. She has published widely in journals such as the Clothing and Textiles Research Journal and the International Journal of Consumer Studies, and has secured multiple USDA-funded grants supporting curriculum innovation in circular economy education, including the Flint Hills Farm to Fashion Camp.
