Kevin Wanklyn spent eight and a half years working at a small startup company focused on the development of novel acoustic microcavitation technology. During his time in industry, he led all aspects of experimental research, including system design, prototype development, instrumentation, testing, data collection, and analysis. His work helped create industry-focused solutions while strengthening his expertise in experimental methods, fluid systems, and applied engineering problem solving.
In the summer of 2011, Dr. Wanklyn joined the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University. Currently, Dr. Wanklyn serves as a Glaser Cornerstone Teaching Scholar and Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University. In these roles, he provides leadership in undergraduate education, curriculum coordination, academic policy implementation, and program assessment while continuing to advocate for high-quality, student-centered engineering education.
