Kevin Bernstein

Kevin Bernstein teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in painting and studio practice at Kansas State University, including introductory and advanced painting, as well as Materials and Application. His teaching emphasizes material exploration, critical thinking, and sustained studio engagement, while remaining flexible to support diverse student pathways. He actively mentors undergraduate research, honors projects, and applied learning experiences, supporting students in developing independent, inquiry-driven work. Through initiatives such as Nature Collab, he connects students to research, collections, and field-based learning opportunities that extend beyond the studio.
