FUNDING
Dr. Kelsie Doty's research examines the intersections of sustainability, fashion supply chains, and communities through a multidisciplinary lens that integrates qualitative inquiry with creative design practice. She is particularly interested in how local knowledge systems, craft traditions, and community-based production models can inform more sustainable approaches to fashion and textile design. Her work investigates the social, environmental, and cultural dimensions of apparel production, with an emphasis on slow fashion, regional fiber systems, and alternative models of sourcing, making, and consumption.
