ABOUt

I am a professor and science librarian at Kansas State University Libraries. I support K-State's research, teaching, and engagement efforts through my roles as a subject librarian, an Aibrarian, and a contributor to several university-wide AI initiatives. 

 

As a subject librarian, I provide guest lectures in graduate and undergraduate classes, provide one-on-one research assistance, create online class and research guides, and respond to numerous reference questions through email. I serve as the libraries' primary subject librarian for the following academic units on campus:

 

  • Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, Department of
  • Biology, Division of
  • Chemistry, Department of
  • Entomology, Department of
  • Health Sciences, School of
  • Mathematics, Department of
  • Statistics, Department of

 

In addition to my duties as a subject librarian, I am involved in several Artificial Intelligence (AI) activities and projects including:

  • Providing consultations and webinars as a member of the steering committee of K-State's AI Consulting Service
  • Assisting with coordination of the Heartland AI Symposium
  • Providing webinars for K-State Extension
  • Co-presenting guest lectures in academic units other than those for which I serve as the primary subject librarian.

 

I participate actively in national, regional, and local organizations related to artificial intelligence and science librarianship. I conduct research, publish articles, conference papers, and book chapters, and present at numerous local, regional, and national venues.
