SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT
Professor Kim’s service and engagement focus on international academic collaboration, university diversity initiatives, and professional leadership within interior design organizations.
- International & Community Outreach: Co-leads long-running international design exchange projects and collaborative workshops with South Korean universities; served as Faculty Advisor for the Korean Students Organization at K-State.
- Academic & Institutional Service: Active member of the APDesign Technology Committee and HHS Diversity & Internationalization Committee; served on multiple faculty search committees and departmental leadership roles.
- Professional Service & Review: Active member of the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) International Task Force; reviewer and board member for international design journals and conferences including EDRA and the International Journal of Design Principles and Practices.
