Dr. Topham's research focuses on parent-child relationship processes that influence children's physical health and socio-emotional development, as well as the identification of effective early family interventions for vulnerable populations. His recent work examines the role of general parenting in children's long-term outcomes including healthy weight balance, emotion regulation, peer relationships, and mental health.
