ABOUt
Dr. Hettiarachchi is a Professor of Soil and Environmental Chemistry. Dr. Hettiarachchi's research interests can best be described as applications of soil chemistry to solving problems associated with potentially toxic elements and nutrient elements in soils and for understanding chemical and mineralogical contribution of soil aggregation and soil quality. Her teaching duties include AGRON 335 Environmental Quality, AGRON 605 Soil and Environmental Chemistry, and AGRON 905 Advanced Soil Chemistry as well as undergraduate and graduate student mentoring and advising. A portion of the position is committed to non-directed service, which is fulfilled through a variety of committee assignments in the department, across campus and beyond.
