Elizabeth Sorensen Montoya

Elizabeth Sorensen Montoya is an environmental economist. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2025, following master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Oregon and Black Hills State University. Her research lies at the intersection of environment and public health, with a particular focus on water quality. She examines the determinants of contamination and its consequences for human health, and studies how public water systems can improve quality, with an emphasis on the incentives and constraints they face.
