Wagner's research focuses on Gen Z media consumption, social media platform usage, and political engagement in digital environments. His recent work explores how young audiences evaluate credibility, misinformation, and platform influence during major political events, including the 2024 U.S. election. Additional interests include digital media literacy, emerging media technologies, and the role of student media as experiential learning environments.
