Dan Moser

Dr. Dan Moser has served as Eldon Gideon Dean of the Kansas State University College of Agriculture since July 2025, bringing a unique combination of academic leadership, industry experience, and strong institutional ties. Previously, he served the college as Associate Dean of Academic Programs, where he expanded access to undergraduate programs and strengthened student success initiatives. Moser also brings significant industry experience, having served as President of Angus Genetics, Inc. and Director of Performance Programs for the American Angus Association. Earlier in his career, he was a faculty member in K-State’s Department of Animal Sciences and Industry and held academic appointments at the University of Nebraska and the University of Georgia. His research efforts led to the incorporation of live-animal ultrasound measures into national beef cattle evaluation programs and demonstrated the impact of genomic testing on beef cattle improvement. He holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in Animal and Dairy Science from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Industry from Kansas State University.
