SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Her extension work covers aspects of veterinary entomology focusing on reducing the negative impacts that pests have on animal production, health, and public wellbeing.

 

  • Livestock Pest Control: Providing management strategies for flies, ticks, and other arthropods that threaten livestock
  • Emerging Threats: Leading public education on highly destructive or invasive pests, such as the Asian longhorned tick and New World screwworm
  • Insecticide Resistance: Educating ranchers and producers on why pests develop resistance to treatments and how to counter it and develop robust integrated pest management plans
