Dr. Jones' research focuses on applied animal nutrition, feed safety, and production systems, with an emphasis on solving complex, industry-driven challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work connects animal agriculture to broader systems including food safety, supply chain resilience, and global disease mitigation. She has contributed to a research program generating $8.8 million in funding ($3.2 million as PI) and producing more than 110 peer-reviewed publications with over 3,000 citations. Her scholarship is defined by translational impact, including patented technologies adopted by industry and contributions to national and international policy and risk assessment efforts.
