Beth Pesnell

Dr. Beth Pesnell is a Teaching Assistant Professor of STEM Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Kansas State University, where she teaches elementary science, mathematics, and STEM education methods courses for undergraduate and graduate students. With more than 30 years of experience in education, Beth has served as a classroom teacher, campus leader, district-level Math and Science Curriculum Specialist, instructional coach, and professional learning leader focused on science, mathematics, and STEM education.

A recognized leader in science education, Beth currently serves as Associate Editor of Science and Children, the elementary journal of the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), and as an elected Board Director for NSTA. She has also served on the Achieve EQuIP Peer Review Panel for science, contributes as a peer reviewer for multiple educational journals, and regularly presents at state and national conferences on science and STEM education. Beth is an active advocate for high-quality science instruction and has worked extensively with educators across the country through professional learning, coaching, and STEM initiatives.
