Ben Sims

I currently serve Barton and Ellis counties as the Cottonwood District 4-H & Youth Development Agent for K-State Extension. I began working in Extension in July of 2022 in Greenwood County, serving as the Agriculture & Natural Resources and 4-H & Youth Development Agent. I have a passion for Kansas youth and helping them grow into strong leaders for tomorrow. Much of my focus is on agriculture education, building self-awareness, and early career development. I am active at the regional and state level of K-State Extension, currently serving as the Secretary of the Kansas Association of Extension 4-H Agents, and a member of the Kansas Association of Agriculture Agents. I am also a certified instructor for the ATV Safety Institute for the ATV Rider Safety Course, and have been a member of the 4-H Program Rally Planning Committee for several years.
