Alisha Hardman

Alisha Hardman, Ph.D., CFLE is an Associate Professor in Human Development and Family Science and serves as Program Chair of the undergraduate Human Development and Family Science program and Family and Community Services and Prevention Science programs. Her work is grounded in family science and family life education, with a strong emphasis on strengthening families and promoting relational health across the lifespan. Dr. Hardman earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota and completed both her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University. Dr. Hardman holds credentials as a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) and is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. Her areas of specialization include family life education methodology, program development and evaluation, traumatic stress responses in children and families, parentchild relationships, parenting education, and relational health. She teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Interpersonal and Family Relationships, Program Development and Implementation, and Evaluation of Prevention Science Programs.
